Looking for something to sink your teeth into?
How about taking a yummy bite out of YumyHub?
YumyHub is new fansite that was launched only a few months ago and is already growing by leaps and bounds.
On track to welcome one million users within the year, I wanted to speak with this up-and-comer to see what they’re doing that’s got creators so excited. Learn more about why you may want to join up in this YNOT Cam interview with their Founder, Michael Gonzales.
What was the impetus for starting YumyHub and what is your background?
I saw a need to reestablish trust towards tech companies in the fan platform space. The big platforms in the industry lost creators’ confidence by banning all different types of explicit content, taking away their lifetime referral programs, and more.
Whenever I think about going into a new business I first become a student of the industry to make sure I understand the inner workings of my competitors.
Who are the current leaders?
What are they doing right?
But more importantly what are they doing wrong?
That then allows me to figure out my advantage and capitalize on their mistakes. I also look for opportunities where I can add value and present things that no one else is offering. When I decided to develop YumyHub.com I knew I had to give fans and creators a platform they could rely on. Obviously there’s a lot of things that go into launching a company, but the number one reason I started YumyHub was to offer stability: I wanted to design a site that wasn’t constantly changing things and taking away creators’ ability to maximize their success which in turn hurts their livelihood.
As far as my background goes, I have had an entrepreneurial spirit ever since I could remember – well before it was considered “cool.”
I wrote my first business plan when I was 12 years old and started my first company when I was 19. At 21 I was awarded National Publisher of the year and at 25 I founded a national franchise that was ranked in Entrepreneur Magazine‘s Franchise 500. Business has just always been in my blood.
What edge does YumyHub have over its competitors?
We put our creators and fans first.
Every decision we make we first ask the question: “Is this in the best interest of our creators and fans?” An example of this is we offer the most aggressive referral program in the industry – we pay out 5% for life, have no limits, and never ban explicit content.
What is the most important action models can do to gain traction on YumyHub?
Fans are seeking long lasting genuine connections with their favorite creators. When models keep that in mind with everything they do then success is inevitable.
Talk to us about diversity, how important is it to the site?
All creators are valued, and we welcome everyone. While some platforms cater towards a certain niche, we at YumyHub love diversity.
What is the customer service like on YumyHub?
We offer amazing support for our creators and fans – one of the many things a lot of other fan platforms don’t do well.
Our support team is available 24/7 by phone or by email. And unlike other sites, we respond by email sooner than 4-5 days – a majority of the time it’s within the hour. Same goes with our approval process. While other platforms take 3-7 days for approval, most of the time we can approve within the hour.
What are your goals for the site?
Launched on April 28, we are just getting started!
We will be introducing new features and functionalities that no other fan platform offers, and we are positioning YumyHub to become the fan platform leader within the next 3-5 years.
