Now the time has come to shine like a real star!
Your first broadcast will be watched by many viewers, that’s your chance to show what you can do!
The first live show can be daunting, so chill out with a cup of tea and read these last-minute tips which can help you make it a memorable experience.
Starting with the obvious: not all viewers are good people, so there will be viewers which will try to take advantage of you because you’re a new model. Don’t be put off by those, they are going to disappear when they understand that you are confident and professional. Many other viewers will want you to DM them to talk in private, that is up to you, sometimes it’s convenient because it can lead to a private show, other times, it’s just a waste of time and when the chat room is full, it can be distracting to DM with several people.
Users with no tokens (usually their name is grey in color) tend to be time wasters, try to focus more on other users with tokens and/or membership (they will have their name in a different color).
Your first broadcast will be you best chance to show your qualities and to attract a loyal fan base, so prepare it carefully beforehand and write down the things you are planning to do on a piece of paper – keep it close and have all the items you need nearby.
This will help you to remember everything and to fill the gaps between viewers’ requests. In other words: start with a bang!
Give your viewers an experience which they won’t forget, so that they will become regulars. However, the most important thing is to enjoy yourself, it sounds like a cliché, but viewers will notice quickly if a model is bored or overworked, and they will lose interest.
So, it’s better to keep you first live short, but entertaining vs. long, but uneventful.
By being a new model viewers will be curious about you, and they will ask you several questions, I strongly suggest checking you audio settings before the beginning of the live session, so everyone can listen to you clearly and you don’t need to type in the chat box.
Before going live spend a few minutes familiarizing yourself with the cam site interface, they are all different, but intuitive. You will find several apps and bots which give additional features to the chat box, games which your viewers can play to tip you and general settings which you will need to set up before broadcasting.
Another important thing that should not be forgotten during your first show is the link of your social.
You will be surprised how many new followers you will get during your show and if you link it to your cam site, every time you go live it will appear on your feed so your new followers will know it’s time to start watching you again!
Now, you are all set to reach the first page, to earn, to enjoy your new job, to be at the top of your game and to be a great cam model. Break a leg!
This article concludes this introductory series which covered the basis of camming – you can find all the other articles here. I hope you have enjoyed it and that has been helpful to anyone who wanted to try out this business for the first time.
